Day 4 - Just a Day
Josh at our lunch place. Dad would have loved it!
Hello!
Yesterday we took the day slowly. I woke up not feeling the best, so we stayed in for a bit. Around 3 in the afternoon we walked to the Barceloneta beach. The beach was packed! There was a person every inch! The beach was at an intense slant which made walking rather difficult to do. Josh and I stayed there for about an hour and a half looking at the many sculptures and people that lined the beach. Josh spotted a Frank Gehry sculpture waaaaayyyyy down the beach. So of course we went to it! The sculpture was glistening gold from far away but the interior was completely hollow. It was very impressive!

After the beach, we began our walk home. On the way, we found a beautiful park with amazing fountains. Josh and I sat for a while, ate a cookie ice cream sandwich, watched children chase bubbles and listened to the salsa dancing music coming from behind us. I love how alive Barcelona is.
For dinner, we found this tiny tapas cafe and enjoyed wine, a cheese plate, French fries (hehe) and steak covered with carmelized onions and goat cheese. Yum yum! The menu design at this restaurant was fabulous.
That's all for today! We are running late and we have payed tickets that we do not want to miss!
All the best,
Lilly
