Day 33 - Last Day In London.. For Now
Cheerio! (No one says this)
Hello fuzzy hat toy soldier
Today we went to Buckingham Palace to visit the Queen. Sadly she wasn't in, so we decided to tour her house instead. It was gorgeous of course. Everything was gilded in gold. There were priceless works of art hanging in the hallways and the ballrooms were stunning. Josh and I spent about 3 hours inside admiring everything. Her house is seriously stocked. It is amazing to see how many people she has met in her lifetime. She has been in power longer than most people ever are.
The Transport Museum
We left the Queen's palace and headed to the London Transport Museum to play with trains. I was excited to visit to see the advertising and graphic design of London transportation and how it has changed over the years. The museum was very large with real trains, cars and buses filling it. We watched many videos and crawled inside of many vehicles. We had a great time.
Our dinner and my ceviche sushi
For dinner, we had sushi. YUM. OH MY GOODNESS YUM. Everything was delicious but the best was a ceviche sushi roll. It was the best sushi roll I have had in my entire life. After eating the greatest sushi of all time, we headed to a comedy show at The 99 Club. What can be funnier than comedy in a British accent? During the show, we were called on. We were the only people there from America and we had also just gotten married... So we became prime targets. It was great fun. The jokes were hysterical and the atmosphere was alive. The host of the night had gotten married one year prior and he said lots of people asked him about life after he got married. (It's rather similar) His response is that his left hand is worth a bit more than his right now. Hahahaha. I will be using this response always. Throughout the show, there were three different comedians who performed as well as the host. Excellent last evening in London.
All the best.
