Design Intention: SCAD B.F.A. Student Project

Overview: My client for this project was the designer Kaitlyn Armitano. I wanted the logotype to match Kaitlyn's personality and aesthetic. First, I worked on finalizing a moodboard along with researching existing typography that matched her style. She is very individual and an unique person, so I decided to create a hand lettered design rather than working from an already existing typeface. We decided to brand Kaitlyn with only her last name for professional reasons. Next, I sketched hundreds of options until arriving at a design that suited both Kaitlyn and I. I continued to develop the logotype until arriving at my finalized design. Finally, I created a logo mark that complimented the logotype.
